Not surprisingly, our Intermediate footballers’ league game versus Kinsale, at Kinsale, last Sunday fell victim to the bad weather. Also a victim of the weather was our Div. 2 football league game versus Liscarroll, which had been fixed for Sunday evening. However, the Intermediate footballers  did play Ballinora in the league, at the home venue, on Wednesday evening, last week and recorded a rather facile, but well-deserved victory.  Having led at the interval 0-7 to 0-2, they went on to run out winners on the score-line of 2-8 to 0-3.

Team and scorers:  Liam Kelly, Darren McNamara, Tom Paul Murphy, Sean Kelly, Michael Walsh 0-1, Jerry McCarthy, Eamonn O’Connor, William Fouhy 0-1, Shane Fitzgerald, James McEniry 0-1, Peter O’Brien 0-1, James O’ Sullivan 1-0, Tom Monaghan 0-3, Stevie Coughlan, David Kelly 1-1.
